Parkwood

Parkwood is tucked away on 4th Cross, right near Brookefield. If you know the area, you know how much it’s changed over the years with all the new buildings going up. We’ve stayed pretty much the same though. It’s a bit of a tricky turn to find us if it's your first time, but once you’re here, it’s fairly straightforward. We handle things here day to day, mostly just keeping the place running and looking after the people who stop by. There’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky pipe or a gate that squeaks too much. We aren't part of some big national chain, so we just do things our own way. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best tea in the afternoon. It gets busy during the week because of all the offices in Brookefield, but the weekends are a bit more relaxed. We don't have a big shiny lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where people can be. We try to keep the dust down, which is hard with all the construction nearby, but we do our best. It’s just a regular spot on a regular street, and we like it that way. No one here wears a suit, we just wear what’s comfortable for working. That’s how Parkwood operates, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs us.
