Parkruthi Hotel

Parkruthi Hotel is located at 1455 Ashram Road in Mahalaxmi Puram. It is a tall building that stands out on the block, and we have been here for quite some time now. The lobby has a marble floor that we have to buff quite often to keep it looking decent. We have a small desk where we check people in and out, and there is always a stack of paperwork or keys sitting there. The rooms are basic but they have what you need for a night or two. We spend a lot of time dealing with laundry, hauling sheets and towels up and down the service elevator. Ashram Road is a main stretch, so it is never really quiet outside, even in the middle of the night. We get all sorts of people staying here, from workers on a job to families visiting relatives in Mahalaxmi Puram. The elevator makes a bit of a groaning sound when it goes past the third floor, but it has never let us down yet. We keep a pot of tea behind the counter for the staff, and sometimes we offer a cup to someone waiting for their room to be ready. It is a straightforward business, just providing a place for people to sleep and wash up. There is always a bulb to change or a faucet that needs a new washer somewhere in the building.
