My office is located at 1448/11 in Agrahara Dasarahalli, right in the Govindaraj Nagar Corporation Colony. It is a very lived-in neighborhood with lots of families and small shops. I’ve lived and worked around here for years, so I know most of the people who walk past my door. The space I use for my work is just a small part of a larger building. It’s not a corporate office park or a high-rise. It’s just a regular room with my desk, some old files, and a couple of chairs. I keep things pretty low-key. I don't go for any of that modern office styling. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really affect the work I do. Most of my day is spent talking to locals or handling paperwork that comes across my desk. I like being in the Corporation Colony because it feels safe and familiar. There is a small tea shop on the corner where I usually go in the afternoons to get a break from the screen and stretch my legs. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much during rush hour, but inside it stays relatively quiet for the most part. It’s a simple life and a simple way of doing business. I don't have any grand plans to move or change things up. This spot works just fine for me. I usually lock up around six and walk home, which isn't very far from here at all.
