You can find Pal Engineering Co out at the 11th Km on Kanakapura Road. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the center of town. We’ve got a shop here where we do various engineering tasks. It’s usually pretty loud with the sound of tools and machines running. We aren't a big fancy outfit. Most of the time, we’re covered in a bit of grease or dust from the projects we’re working on. We handle a lot of different metal parts and fix things that aren't working right. The space is filled with benches, scrap metal, and toolboxes. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where the real work happens. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and see what needs fixing or making. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a pain, but we just wait it out or use the generator. Kanakapura Road has grown a lot lately, so there’s more traffic now than there used to be. We just try to get the jobs done so people can get their equipment back. It’s practical work for practical people. We don't make any big promises, we just do what we can with the tools we have. Some days are long, especially when a project is tricky. That's just how engineering goes. We keep a few old fans running to try and stay cool while we work.
