Padam Fancy Stores

You can find us on the 1st Floor at 4 Kumbarpet. Being upstairs means we don’t always get the casual walk-ins that the ground-floor shops do, but that’s okay. Padam Fancy Stores has its own way of doing things. Kumbarpet is a busy place, as anyone who has been there knows. The stairs up to our shop are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. Once you get inside, it’s a bit of a different world from the street below. We have things stacked on shelves and in boxes, filling up most of the room. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time just sorting through things and making sure we have what people want. We don’t have a website or a big advertising budget. Word of mouth is how most people find their way up those stairs to see us. It’s been that way for a long time. The lighting isn't the brightest, and the floor creaks a little when you walk on certain spots. It’s just an honest little shop in a busy part of the city. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to keep the doors open and provide for our families. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. The fan in the corner keeps clicking, but you stop hearing it after a while.
