P K Rungta & Co

Our office, P K Rungta & Co, is situated at 134/1-D1 on Infantry Road, tucked inside the Jyothi Complex. This building has been around for a long time, so it has that old-fashioned feel with narrow hallways and a lift that is a bit temperamental. We spend most of our hours in a small room filled with metal cupboards and wooden desks that are covered in files. It is a quiet place for the most part, though you can always hear the horns and city noise coming from Infantry Road outside. We do not have any big signs or flashy decorations. Most of the people who come here are just looking for a bit of paperwork or to drop off documents. The stairs are a little steep, so we often find ourselves a bit out of breath by the time we reach the door. There is a lot of paper shuffling and the sound of pens scratching on pads throughout the day. We have a small pantry in the corner where we keep a kettle for making coffee when the afternoons get long. It is a very basic environment, but it serves its purpose for the kind of work we do. We know the other people in the Jyothi Complex, and we often see the same faces every day. It is just a regular office life where we focus on the ledgers and make sure everything is kept in the right folders before we lock up for the day.
