Out Of Home Media (Ooh)

Out Of Home Media, or OOH as we often call it, is a business focused on advertising that you see when you are out and about. We don't have a fixed permanent office address listed here other than what's on the resume, but we operate wherever the billboards and posters are located. Most of our time is spent looking at locations and talking to property owners about space. It’s a lot of driving around and seeing which spots would work for a big sign or a small poster. We deal with the physical side of advertising, not the digital stuff you see on your phone screens. This means we are often dealing with weather issues or making sure a frame is bolted down correctly so it doesn't fall. The team is pretty small, just a couple of people who know their way around the streets and how to get things mounted up high. We don't really sit in an office all day. Our work is visible on the streets, even if our office isn't a place people visit. It’s practical, hands-on work. We have to coordinate with printers and installers all the time to get the job done right. Sometimes a sign gets torn by the wind and we have to go out and fix it. It's not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been handling these kinds of media placements for a while now and we just know the local layout well. It takes some patience.
