Orion Engineering

Orion Engineering is situated at 17 Viswaneedam, right behind Manjushree Garments. It’s a bit of an industrial pocket where you can always hear the sound of machines running. Being behind a garment factory means there is always a lot of activity and people moving around the alleyways. Our workshop isn't very large, but it’s got everything we need to handle the engineering tasks that come our way. We spend a lot of time surrounded by metal scraps and various tools. It’s not the cleanest environment, but it’s where we feel most at home. We usually start the day by checking the machines and making sure everything is oiled and ready to go. There isn't a lot of talking during the shift because the equipment is pretty loud. We take our breaks outside near the gate to get some fresh air and watch the trucks go by. It’s a simple setup we have here at Orion. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to answer the phones in a fancy way. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. We’ve been in this spot for several years now and the regulars know exactly where to find us. It’s a steady pace of work and we like it that way. We just focus on the pieces in front of us and try to stay busy. It works for us.
