We’ve been here at No. 77 B Oosman Khan Road for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Old Washermenpet, and there’s always something going on outside our door. Most days start pretty early with us pulling up the shutters and getting the tools sorted on the racks. We’ve got hammers, screwdrivers, all sorts of nuts and bolts, and the usual things people need for fixing up their houses or shops. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular hardware store with plenty of dust on the higher shelves. If you walk down the street, you’ll see our sign right there. People stop by for a single washer or maybe a new drill when their old one finally gives up. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars about what pipe fits what or which wrench is heavy enough for the job. The shop gets a bit cramped when we get a big delivery, but we manage to find a spot for everything eventually. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around and making sure we haven't run out of the common sizes of nails. Old Washermenpet is a tight neighborhood, so we know many of the faces who walk in. We just keep things moving, trying to help folks find what they need so they can get back to their work. No big speeches here, just lots of metal, oil, and hard work every day on Oosman Khan Road.
