Odyssey

We are over here at number 51 on Hains Road, right in the middle of Shree Ram Market in Frazer Town. It gets pretty loud outside during the day with all the traffic and people moving around the market stalls. You can usually find a few of us hanging around the front entrance near the old sign. Most days start early before the sun really gets hot, just setting things up and making sure the floor is swept. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough for what we do here. People walk past all the time looking for different shops in the market, and sometimes they pop in just to ask for directions or to see what’s going on. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, so we know the neighbors pretty well, like the guy who sells fruit around the corner. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks and shelves and the usual stuff you’d expect to see. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit by the door where there’s more light. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always something happening on the street, whether it’s a delivery truck blocking the lane or kids running home from school. We just keep things moving along at our own pace, trying to get through the daily tasks without too much fuss. It feels like home to us after all this time.
