Oberai Farms

Our place is at number 72 on Bannerghatta Road, right in the middle of BTM Layout 2nd Stage. It’s an interesting spot because the road is so busy but we deal with farm things. We handle a lot of fresh stuff coming in from the outskirts. It’s not really a farm with cows and tractors here, but more of a hub where we manage the produce. The mornings are the most hectic time. We have to check everything for quality before it goes out. Sometimes the crates are heavy and the floor gets a bit wet and slippery. We don’t wear uniforms or anything like that. Just regular clothes that we don’t mind getting dirty. The office is just a corner of the building with a small desk and a few chairs for visitors. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the early shifts. Dealing with fresh goods means you can’t really take many holidays. If the supply is there, we have to be here to receive it. Some of the equipment we use is getting a bit old, but it still works fine for what we need. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. It's a functional space for people who understand where food comes from. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s been this way for a long time and we are used to the noise from Bannerghatta Road outside our door. Sometimes the trucks are late but we just wait.
