Nurse

I work as a nurse here in Nellivillai, which is in Marthandam. It’s a small place, and most people around here know who I am. I don't have a big clinic or anything. It’s more of a personal service for the people in the village. I spend most of my day visiting patients or having them stop by my house if they can walk. I help with things like bandages, shots, and checking blood pressure. It’s a quiet life but I stay busy. There’s always someone who needs a bit of help with a wound or some medicine. I keep my supplies in a small cabinet in the front room. It’s all very simple and practical. I’ve been doing this for many years now. The roads here can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, so getting to some of the houses takes a lot of time. I carry a small bag with the basics like gauze and a stethoscope. People often pay me with whatever they have, sometimes it’s just some vegetables or fruit from their garden. It’s not about the money really. I just like taking care of my neighbors and friends. The air is fresh here in Nellivillai. Sometimes I sit on my porch in the evening when the work is finally done for the day. It’s a small community and we all look out for each other. I don't have a fancy website or any marketing. People just tell each other about me. It’s just me doing my job.
