Numag Data Systems Pvt Ltd is over at New Thippasandra, right at number 30. This spot has been our home for years now. It’s a decent area, not too loud compared to some other parts of the city. Working with data systems sounds more complicated than it really is on most days. Mostly, the job involves making sure everything is organized and the servers don't quit on us. Our office is pretty plain. We have some desks, some old chairs that we probably should have replaced by now, and a lot of cables. Startups are into the whole culture thing with beanbags and ping pong tables, but that isn't us. Coming in, doing our jobs, and going home is the routine. There is a small kitchen area where the fridge makes a weird humming noise. Everyone brings their own tiffin for lunch. Talking about sports or whatever is on the news helps pass the time. Sometimes the power goes out and waiting for the backup to kick in is all we can do. It’s just part of life here. A big fancy sign isn't something we have outside. If you’re looking for the place, you just have to look for the number 30. Having some of the same clients for a decade is nice. They know we’re just regular people. Promising crazy things isn't our style. The data work gets done as it comes. It keeps us busy and pays the bills.
