Nitin Sachdev

I’m based out of Flat 101 at Rahat Residency. It’s on Varthur Road in Benninganahalli, just off the Old Madras Road here in Bangalore. Living and working in the same building can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but it saves me a lot of time on traffic. Nitin Sachdev is what I call my business, but it's really just a one-man show from my apartment. The 560093 area is growing fast, and there’s always construction noise somewhere nearby. My office is basically just a corner of my living room where I’ve squeezed in a desk and some storage bins. It’s not what you’d call professional-looking, but it’s where the work happens. I started this because I wanted to see if I could make it on my own. It’s been a few years and I’m still here, so I guess it’s working out okay. I don't have fancy brochures or a sleek website. I just talk to people and get the job done. Sometimes I work late into the night because the apartment is quiet then. Other times I take a long break in the middle of the day to go for a walk. That’s the benefit of this kind of setup. It’s not a corporate environment with rules and meetings. It’s just me, my computer, and the daily tasks that need to be finished. It’s practical and it works for my life right now, even if the desk is a bit messy.
