It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main commercial hubs, which is nice because you can actually hear yourself think during the day. The office is located in a building that’s been around for a while. Inside, it’s mostly just computer screens, some old chairs that squeak a bit, and a lot of cables running along the floor. We do a lot of back-office work here, so it’s mainly people typing away or talking on headsets. We don't get many walk-in visitors, but the neighbors in Shantinagar are friendly enough. We usually get lunch from the small shop down the street or bring it from home in tiffins. The lighting inside is a bit bright, the kind of fluorescent tubes that flicker every now and then until someone remembers to change them. There’s a small cupboard in the corner where we keep all the extra stationery and the coffee mugs. It’s not the biggest space, but it fits everyone who needs to be here. We keep track of everything on a big whiteboard that hangs near the entrance. Sometimes we lose the markers, but we manage. It’s just a standard service office where we try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. Shantinagar is a decent place to be based for what we do.
