Nica Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd

Our shop is over at B-37 in the ITI Ancillary Unit on Mahadevapura Road. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to it. Nica Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd has been in this spot for several years. The building is older, one of those solid structures that holds the heat in the summer. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or looking at screens. It isn't a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. The area around Mahadevapura has changed so much since we first moved in. There are more buildings and way more cars now. We usually start the day with a quick check of what came in the previous evening. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we all just take a break outside. It’s a small team, maybe a dozen people on a good day. We know each other's families and what's going on in everyone's lives. It’s more like a small workshop than a big technology firm. There’s usually a stack of papers on my desk that I need to file, but I’d rather be out on the floor seeing how the assembly is going. We get the work done, send it out, and then start over the next day. It’s just a steady routine that works for us and has kept the doors open all this time. I guess we are part of the landscape now after being here so long.
