New Modern Times

New Modern Times is situated in the basement of G R Plaza, at 142-143/7. You can find us right below the Gokul Veg Restaurant in the Bramha Aagan Market area of Basavanagudi. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice during the hotter months. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, mostly dealing with watches and timepieces, which is why we have the name we do. We also have various other items that people find useful. The market upstairs is always bustling, and you can often smell the food from the restaurant while you're down here with us. It's a bit of a climb down the stairs, but once you’re inside, it’s a quiet place to browse. We have several glass cases where we keep the more delicate things, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the fingerprints off them. It isn't a very fancy shop, just some sturdy counters and basic lighting. We handle repairs too, so you might see some tools and small parts scattered on a workbench in the back. We know the people of Basavanagudi well, and they know they can find us here most days of the week. It’s a steady business, and we take things one day at a time, making sure our neighbors have a reliable place to come to for their needs.
