New Jalwa Foot Care

You can find us right at 77 Kempa Gowda Road. We are directly opposite Santosh Theatre, so it’s a landmark everyone knows around here. When a big movie comes out, the whole street gets packed and the noise is incredible. New Jalwa Foot Care is a small shop, nothing too fancy. We have our shelves lined up with whatever we are working on that day. The front window gets a lot of dust from the road because Kempa Gowda Road is always under some kind of construction or just heavy with traffic. We keep a couple of stools for people to sit on if they’re waiting. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, and we have an old fan that clicks when it’s on the high setting. It’s a honest place. We don’t do big advertisements. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign while heading to the cinema. We’ve seen the theatre change over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same. The floor is tile, a bit worn down in the middle where people stand the most. We start our day by sweeping the front step and opening the shutters. It’s a routine we’ve had for a long time. There’s always the smell of tea from the vendor next door. We stay busy with the local crowd and the commuters passing through. It’s just a normal day at number 77 for us. We like the rhythm of the street.
