Neta Hardware

If you've ever been to Sadar Patrappa Road, you know how hectic it is. Neta Hardware is right in the middle of it at number 17. SP Road is the kind of place where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough, and we try to be the place people look first for hardware. The shop is narrow and the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. We have to use a tall ladder to get things down from the top, which can be a bit of a workout. It’s always dusty because of the constant construction and traffic outside, so we’re always wiping things down. We get all sorts of people coming in—electricians, plumbers, and folks just trying to fix a leak at home. Most of the time, it’s a lot of shouting over the noise of the street to understand what someone needs. We don't have a computer system that tracks every single screw, we just know where things are from years of being here. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how hardware shops on this road are. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that struggle in the heat, but we don’t mind it much. It’s just how business is done here, and we've gotten used to the noise.
