Nest Technologies Pvt Ltd might have Ernakulum in the name, but our actual physical spot is at Paruthikattu House in Kanchirakode. That’s under the Kumbalangadu post office near Vadakanchery in Thrissur. It’s a bit of a mouthful to explain to people who aren't from around here, but it's home to us. We operate out of a house, which makes the whole tech business feel a lot more personal. We have rooms set up with our servers and workstations. It’s a very local feel, being in the Thrissur district. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't bad at all. We handle various technology projects, mostly computer-related stuff and system maintenance. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit or start the generator, but that’s just life here. We don't have a big HR department or a glass-walled conference room. We usually just talk over tea in the kitchen area or out on the verandah. It’s a quiet place, surrounded by some greenery and coconut trees, which is nice when you've been staring at a screen for eight hours. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. People in the village know us as the tech folks in the big house. We just keep our heads down and get our coding or system work finished. It’s a simple, honest way to run a tech company without all the city stress and traffic.
