National Aerospace Laboratries

The National Aerospace Laboratories office we are in is at 101, B Block, Keerthi Rendezvous. That’s on 16th E Cross in Pai Layout, Bangalore. It’s a residential-looking building but we have our office space set up inside. Being in Pai Layout is convenient for some, but the 16th E Cross can get pretty tight with cars parked on both sides of the road. We are part of the B Block, so there’s always a bit of a walk from the gate. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of technical talk. Since we are a laboratory group, there are always some papers or models lying around that look very complicated to an outsider. We have our coffee breaks in a small corner and talk about the traffic or the weather. It’s not a high-tech looking lab like you might see on TV; it’s more like a regular office where the serious thinking happens. The building has a bit of a lived-in feel to it. Sometimes the elevator makes a weird noise, so most of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. We’ve been here for a while and the location works for us because it’s tucked away from the main road noise. Karnataka has its own way of doing things, and we just follow that same slow and steady pace in our daily work at the rendezvous.
