Narendra D V Gowda

I work out of the Roopa Complex on the first floor. The address is 260/5 in Chamrajpet Nalasopara. This area is quite old and has a lot of character. My office is a simple room with a couple of wooden chairs and a big desk where I keep all my books and files. I have been practicing here for several years now. People from the neighborhood know me and they often stop by just to ask a quick question. I don't have a team of secretaries or a fancy lobby with a water fountain. It is just me and sometimes a helper who handles the filing. The stairs in the complex are a bit narrow and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. I spend many hours reading through cases or drafting papers for my clients. It is quiet work but it requires a lot of concentration. Outside the window you can hear the sounds of the local market and the buses going by. I keep the windows open mostly to let the air in. I don't use much technology besides an old computer and a printer that occasionally jams. Most of my day is spent listening to people and trying to find a way to help them. It is a traditional way of working and it suits me well. I usually stay until the last person has left in the evening.
