My name is Narayanaswamy B N and this is my place in the Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar Industrial Area. We are specifically over in Phase VII. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't familiar with the layout of the industrial zone. I’ve been working out of this space at 38/2 for a long time. It’s an industrial area, so don't expect any gardens or fancy storefronts. It’s mostly concrete, corrugated metal, and a lot of hard work. I spend my days managing the operations and making sure everything stays on track. There is always something that needs fixing or an order that needs checking. The workers arrive early and we usually have a quick talk about the day’s tasks over some tea. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but the fans keep the air moving a little bit. We are surrounded by other units doing all sorts of manufacturing. You can hear the hum of generators and the clanking of metal all day long. I try to keep things organized but in an industrial setting, there is always a bit of a mess somewhere. We don't have any big slogans or colorful logos. People just know me as the guy in Phase VII who gets the job done. It’s a steady life and I’ve grown to like the routine of it. We just keep doing what we've always done. The traffic around the industrial area can be a headache during shift changes.
