Our local contact is at Mukaluvila Veedu in Karavaloor. We are near Punalur in the Kollam district. Even though the paperwork says Narayana Hrudayalaya Bangalore and mentions the Department of Microbiology, this address is where we handle things locally in Kerala. It’s a traditional house, not a hospital building. We act as a bridge for people in this area who need to deal with the lab departments in the city. It’s a quiet place with a lot of greenery around. We aren't doctors here. We just help with the coordination and the paperwork that comes with medical testing and microbiology reports. People from the village come by when they have questions about their samples or need to know how to get their results from Bangalore. We sit on the porch and talk them through it. It’s a lot of explaining things in simple terms. We don't have any white coats or microscopes in this house. It’s just a family home that serves as a point of contact. The bus service out here to Punalur can be a bit irregular, so people often just walk over. We’ve been helping out like this for a while. It’s a practical way to make sure folks get the health information they need without being overwhelmed by the big hospital systems. It’s just us doing what we can from Karavaloor. We are part of the community.
