Nagoor Roja

Nagoor Roja is based on the third floor of the Prabhath Complex at 511 Kempa Gowda Road. It’s a very central spot, right near the old Mysore Bank building. Being on the third floor means we are a bit away from the immediate noise of the street, but you can still hear the buses and the shouting from the market area below. The lift in this building doesn’t always work perfectly, so a lot of people end up taking the stairs. It’s an old-school kind of place. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and the usual things you’d find in a city office. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve stuck up over the years. The view from the window is mostly other old buildings and the tops of some trees. It’s a busy area, and there’s always something happening near the bank. We just come in, do what needs to be done for the day, and head out when the sun goes down. It’s not a fancy setup, but it’s our space and it works for us. The air gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. It’s just the reality of working in the heart of the city. Sometimes we grab a coffee from the corner stand when the afternoon slump hits us hard and we need a break.
