Nagaraj H D Advocate

Working as an advocate at 611 Avenue Road means you have to be okay with a bit of chaos. Avenue Road is one of the busiest streets you can imagine, filled with bookshops and vendors. My office is inside Chandra Plaza. It’s a building that has seen better days, but it has a lot of character. Nagaraj H D is the name you’ll see on the door once you find your way through the plaza. The hallways are narrow, and the lighting is sometimes a bit flickery, but my office is comfortable enough. I’ve filled the walls with shelves because an advocate always has more books than space. There are stacks of folders on almost every flat surface. It’s not the kind of place where everything is perfectly filed away in a computer; there’s a lot of paper here. I spend my mornings going through documents and my afternoons meeting with people who need help. The sounds of the street come right through the windows, but I’ve grown to like the noise. It feels like being in the heart of the city. I don’t have a big staff to manage things. It’s usually just me sitting at the desk. Chandra Plaza is easy to find if you just look for the number 611. I’ve been here for years, and I’ve never felt the need to move to a more modern building.
