Our office for Nagadheep Sathyanarayana Co Chartered Accountants is located at No 11 Srikripa, right on the 2nd Cross in Padmanabhanagar. It’s a fairly quiet part of Bangalore, which is good because we need to concentrate on the numbers. We’ve got a lot of files stacked up on the shelves, mostly tax returns and audit reports from over the years. Being chartered accountants means we spend a lot of time looking at tiny print and making sure all the columns add up correctly. It’s not the kind of work that makes for exciting stories, but it’s what we do. The office has a bit of an old-school feel to it. We still use a lot of paper even though everything is supposed to be digital now. We’ve got a small area where clients can sit and wait, usually reading an old newspaper while we finish up their work. Padmanabhanagar is a nice neighborhood to work in, and we’ve become a part of the daily rhythm here. We see the same people walking their dogs or going to the market every day. During the busy tax months, we’re here late into the night with the lights on, just trying to get through the pile of work. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just try to get the audits finished and the taxes filed without any major headaches for anyone involved. That is just our daily life here.
