N Kantha Rao

Our office is located in the Suma Coffee Works building in Byrasandra. We are up on the second floor at number 13. N Kantha Rao has been working from this spot for quite a while. Being in the coffee works building means there is often a faint smell of coffee around, which isn't a bad thing at all. The office itself is fairly quiet, away from the main street noise. We have our desks pushed up against the walls to make room for all the filing cabinets. Accounting involves a lot of paper, so we have to keep it all somewhere. It’s a plain office with simple lights and old-fashioned fans. We don't really have a reception desk, you just kind of walk in. Most of the time we are buried in spreadsheets or checking bank statements. It’s steady, focused work. Byrasandra is a decent place to be based. We see the same faces every day. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just do the filings and the tax work as it comes in. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up a project, but that’s just part of the job. It’s a small, local operation and we like the familiarity of it. We just keep our heads down and make sure the numbers are right for whoever walks through the door. There’s always another form to fill or a record to check before the day ends. We close up around six.
