N D Satish Chandra

Our office is in the Gurukrupa Building at 44 Seshadripuram. We are right near Seshadripuram College. If you see a lot of students hanging around, you are probably close to us. N D Satish Chandra is the name on our door. It’s an old building, and the stairs are a bit steep. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know all the quirks of the place, like which window sticks when it rains. The area is always lively because of the college. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long. Inside, it’s a bit cramped. We have books and ledgers piled up on almost every flat surface. We don't really have a waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs by the entrance. It’s a no-frills kind of place. We don't spend money on new furniture or decorations. We just focus on the work that’s on our desks. Sometimes we talk about the old days when the street was much quieter. Now there’s a new cafe on every corner. But we still do things the way we always have. It’s a reliable routine. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to see us for years. They know the building and they know where to find us. It’s a practical, local business in a busy part of the city. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We always keep a few spare umbrellas for when the monsoon hits.
