Our place is the Keeranthodika house over in Mavoor, right by the Cheruvadi post office. It’s a local spot where everyone pretty much knows each other by name. We operate Muthoot from here and it’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day things that come up. The house itself has been around for a bit and we use the front part for all our work. You can usually find a couple of us sitting there with the ledgers or talking to people who drop by from the village. It gets quite busy on market days when people are out and about. We don't really do the whole big office thing with fancy carpets and glass doors. It’s more of a wooden table and some old cupboards kind of vibe. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit on the porch for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a decent way to work, honestly. We know most of the families around here because they've been coming to this address for years. Mavoor is a good place to be rooted, even if the roads get a bit muddy when the monsoon starts up. We just keep doing what we do, counting the bits and pieces and making sure the records are straight. It’s simple work but it keeps us occupied from morning until the sun goes down over the trees and we finally close up for the evening.
