Our office is inside the Airforce Campus area near Mekhri Circle. It’s at Quarter No. 64/2, which means we are right in the middle of a very secure and busy part of the city. Being near Bellary Road, we see the traffic heading towards the airport all day long. Getting through the gate at JC Nagar Post takes a bit of time because of the security checks. Once you’re inside, though, it’s surprisingly calm compared to the madness of Mekhri Circle just a few hundred meters away. We’ve been based here for some time now. The building is older, with high ceilings and fans that run all day to keep the heat down. We deal with a lot of logistics and administrative work. Our desks are usually covered in folders and logbooks. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the daily reports. Most of us take the bus to work, so we are very familiar with the Hebbal flyover and the constant construction nearby. It’s a unique place to work because of the military surroundings. You hear the occasional announcement or see the officers going about their business. We just stick to our tasks and try to keep things moving. By the time five o'clock rolls around, we’re usually ready to fight the traffic on the way home. It’s just the daily routine for our group in this part of Bangalore. We keep things simple and get the job done.
