Music Broadcast Pvt. Ltd. (Radio City 91.1)

You can find us over in JP Nagar 6th Phase. We are tucked away at No: 225/12 on 33rd Main, right there on 18th A Cross. It’s a pretty busy little pocket of Bangalore, especially being so close to the Siddeshwara Theater. Everyone around here knows the theater, so it makes it easy to tell people where we are. We operate Music Broadcast Pvt. Ltd. from this building, which is where Radio City 91.1 happens. It’s not always as glamorous as people think when they hear the music on their car radios. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting in rooms with soundproofing on the walls and talking into microphones. We’ve got wires everywhere and people rushing in and out for their time slots. Puttenahalli is a nice neighborhood to work in, though the traffic near the theater can be a real headache in the evenings. We spend our days picking out songs and making sure the signal stays strong so people can actually hear us. Sometimes things go wrong with the equipment and we have to scramble to fix it before the next segment starts. It’s a bit of a madhouse at times, but we enjoy the noise. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we are just a local radio station trying to play some decent music for the folks driving home or sitting in their shops. It’s a job we like doing, right here in the heart of the area.
