Murali Event Management

Our place is on Albert Street in Bangalore. We’ve been operating out of here for a good while. It’s a street that has a mix of houses and small businesses. We handle event management, which means our days are never really the same. One day we are counting chairs and the next we are trying to find a specific type of lighting. The office is really just a base for us. Most of the real work happens out at the venues where the events are taking place. We have a lot of stuff stored in the back—cables, decorations, and tools. It’s often a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. Albert Street is usually okay for parking, which is a relief in this city. We have a small team, and we’ve worked together for long enough that we don’t need to say much to get things done. We aren’t a big firm with fancy brochures. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they saw us working at a friend’s wedding or a local party. We just try to make sure everything is where it needs to be at the right time. Sometimes things go wrong, like the weather or a late delivery, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. That’s just part of the job. We stay until the last guest leaves and then we pack it all up. This street has seen us load and unload our trucks hundreds of times. It is hard work.
