Mukesh Creation

If you’ve ever been to Chickpet, you know how packed it gets. Mukesh Creation is right in the middle of all that at 108, Kundan Market on D.S. Lane. It’s one of those spots where you really have to know where you’re going or you’ll walk right past it. The lane is narrow, and you’re constantly dodging people and delivery bikes. Our shop isn't huge, but we make the most of every inch of space we have. We’ve got rolls of material and samples stacked up to the ceiling in some parts. It can get a bit hot during the summer because the air doesn't move much in these old market buildings, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out some of the noise from the street. Customers come in and out all day, some just looking and others knowing exactly what they want. We’ve been at this address long enough that the neighboring shopkeepers are like family to us. We share tea and keep an eye on each other’s places when someone has to step out. It’s a bit chaotic, but there’s a certain rhythm to life in Kundan Market that we’ve grown to love. It’s not a fancy mall experience, but it’s honest and it’s where we’ve built our lives over the years.
