You can find us behind the Ayyappa Temple in Ayyappa Nagar. We’re on Plot 18, right there on the 6th Cross. Bangalore is getting bigger every day, but this little corner of Karnataka feels like home to us. We do a lot of technical work, mostly focused on structures and geodesic designs, though we don't use those big words much around the office. It’s a lot of planning and looking at blueprints. The office is usually filled with the sound of fans and people typing away. We have a small yard in the back where we keep some of the equipment. Being near the temple means it’s relatively quiet, except during festival times when the whole street gets packed. We started out small and just kept at it. There’s no secret to it, really. We just try to make sure the steel goes where it’s supposed to and the joints are tight. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know each other's coffee orders by heart. We don’t go for the fancy glass buildings you see in the IT parks. This place is practical. It fits what we do. We work on projects all over, but this is where the thinking happens. It gets dusty, and the power goes out sometimes, but we just keep the work moving. It’s a steady life here in the city, and we are just happy to get the jobs done.
