Mohammed

You can find us in Vivek Nagar on the 2nd Cross, right near Gundappa Gowda Road in Ejipura. The shop is at number 9. It is just a small place, nothing too special to look at from the outside. I have been running things here as Mohammed for quite some time now. It is the kind of neighborhood where everyone knows each other’s business. Most of the people who come in are just living nearby and need something quick. The shop is usually a bit cramped because I try to keep a little bit of everything in stock. There are boxes stacked in the back and sometimes on the side of the counter if we ran out of room on the shelves. It’s a lot of long hours, sitting on the stool and watching the traffic go by on the cross road. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the construction nearby, so I spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It’s not a fancy life but it’s what I know. I usually open up early and don’t head home until late in the evening when the streetlights are all on. The neighbors stop by to chat even if they aren't buying anything, which is nice. It makes the day go by faster. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the door open and the lights on. It’s just how things are at Mohammed's place in Ejipura.
