Mohammed Arif

My name is Mohammed Arif and I run things here in Shivaji Nagar. The place is at 12 Shivaji Nagar, right inside the Chandhini Guest House. We are located just behind St. Mary’s Church. It’s a very busy area with lots of people walking around and shops everywhere. The guest house is a simple place for people to stay when they are visiting the city. It’s not a five-star hotel with a pool or anything. It’s just rooms with beds and the basics. I spend most of my day here making sure things are clean and that guests have what they need. Sometimes it’s noisy because of the church bells or the traffic, but that’s just how Shivaji Nagar is. I’ve lived and worked around here for a long time. People know me and I know them. We don't have a big staff, just a few people helping out with the laundry and cleaning. It’s a practical place for travelers who don't want to spend too much money. We don't have a big website or fancy advertisements. Mostly people just find us by walking by or through word of mouth. It’s an honest way to make a living and I enjoy meeting the different people who come through the door. The building itself is a bit old, so there's always a bit of maintenance to do, like fixing a leaky tap or painting a wall.
