If you’re looking for us, we are tucked away in the industrial suburb of Yeshwanthpur. It’s at No. 102 on 3rd Cross. The area is pretty industrial, like the name says, so there are lots of trucks and workers around all the time. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we do our sewing and packing. We’ve been at this 2nd Stage location for quite some time now. Some mornings the tea stall nearby is the only thing open when we start. We have a few long tables and a lot of sewing machines. It gets dusty, but that’s part of the trade. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone knocks, one of us just goes to the door. We handle a lot of fabric every week. Some of it is heavy, some light. We just get on with it. The 3rd Main road gets crowded during shift changes. We usually stay late to finish up whatever is on the needles. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we take it seriously. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just make clothes. It’s simple. We know the neighbors, mostly other workshops and small factories. We help each other out when a machine breaks or someone needs a hand moving a heavy load. It’s a tight-knit spot here in Yeshwanthpur.
