Microtech

Our place is located at 32 Sampangiram Nagar. We are quite close to the passport office so there is always a lot of activity around here. The layout is called S G N Narayan in the Naroda area and it is a bit of a maze if you don't know it. We do technical work here at Microtech. It involves small parts and electronics mostly. Our workbench is always full of tools and tiny screws that are easy to lose. I have a magnifying glass that I use almost every hour. It isn't a big factory or anything. It is just a small setup where we fix things and assemble parts. Some people drop by because they saw our sign while going to the passport office. We get all sorts of questions. Some things are easy to fix and others take a few days of testing. We don't use much automation here. It is mostly handwork. The room stays cool because of the shade from the trees outside. It is a quiet spot despite being in a busy part of town. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about the latest gadgets. My brother helps with the bookkeeping and I handle the repairs. We keep things simple and try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It is a good little spot we have carved out for ourselves. We have been doing this for about ten years now. The neighborhood has changed, but we are still here.
