Mia Communications

We are over at Kumara Park West, right on Otc Road. Being near the Canara Bank makes it easy for people to find us. It is a small space at number 60, filled with cables and people talking. We deal with phones and connections. Some days are just troubleshooting for neighbors. We have been here for some years now. The shop is usually full of boxes and old equipment. We deal with all sorts of communication stuff. It could be fixing a line or setting up a router for someone nearby. Kumara Park West is a nice area but it stays quite busy during the day. We have a small counter where people come to ask for a new connection. It is a lot of talking on the phone and trying to figure out why something stopped working. The floor is often covered in wires that we have not sorted yet. We have a couple of guys who go out on their bikes to handle on-site jobs while I stay back to manage the shop. It is a bit disorganized at times, honestly. We do not have a big corporate structure. If something breaks, we just try to fix it. Some customers have been coming to us since we opened. We know them by name. It is a local business through and through. The tea shop next door is where we spend our breaks. We just keep the neighborhood connected and that keeps us on our toes.
