Being up on the 8th floor of Duparc Trinity changes how you see the city. Out on M. G. Road, it is complete chaos with the cars and the people, but up here, it is a bit more still. We spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators, which can be very slow during the morning rush. Once you get inside the office at No. 17, it is mostly just desks and computers. We have large windows that look out over the street, and sometimes we just stand there watching the traffic crawl along while we drink our coffee. It is a modern building, but we have managed to make our corner feel a bit more lived-in. There are papers everywhere and jackets hanging on the backs of chairs. It is a big operation, but the day-to-day is actually quite simple. We have meetings, we talk on the phone, and we try to get through the emails. The air conditioning is always a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater handy. At the end of the day, we pack up and head back down to the noise of the street. It is a long way up, and sometimes the wind whistles against the glass when it is stormy. We have been here for a while, and it has become a second home for most of the staff. It’s just a regular workplace.
