Our place is at 8 Dickenson Road. If you’re looking for bolts, screws, or a specific wrench, we probably have it buried somewhere in a bin. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves reaching up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time counting out small parts or helping someone find a specific size of fastener that they can't find anywhere else. It’s a lot of metal and grease, and our hands are rarely clean. The shop has been here on Dickenson Road for quite some time now. We get a lot of mechanics and DIY guys coming in. They usually know exactly what they want, but sometimes we have to dig through the old stock to find that one odd piece. It’s not the kind of shop where everything is shiny. It’s practical. We have stacks of boxes everywhere and the floor is a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We just try to keep the inventory organized enough so we can find things when someone asks. Sometimes the inventory takes forever to count, especially the tiny washers and nuts. We don’t do a lot of talking unless it’s about the job at hand. It’s just us, the tools, and the people who use them. We keep it simple and stay busy with the orders that come across the counter every day. It’s dusty work but someone has to do it.
