We have been at 33, Cambridge 2nd Cross Road for a while now. It’s a pretty busy spot in Bangalore, especially during the mornings when everyone is heading to work. Usually, our place is full of stacks of paper and some old machines running in the back. We do all sorts of publishing work here. Some days are quieter than others, but we usually have something on the desk. People come in to ask about getting their things printed or just to see what kind of books we are working on at the moment. We try to keep things moving along. It isn't a fancy office with big glass walls or modern art. It is just a regular workspace where the real work gets done. Sometimes the traffic outside on the street is loud, but you get used to that sound after a few weeks. My own desk is usually covered in proofs that need checking for errors. We’ve been in this part of Karnataka for years and most of the folks around here know us by now. It’s just us doing what we know how to do best. If you walk down the lane, you can't really miss the sign we put up. We handle the editing and the layout and all those little bits that go into making a book look right. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at screens or paper. We don't have a massive team, just a few of us making sure things go out on time. Sometimes the printer acts up, but we fix it.
