You can find Metro Pipe Products at 48, G K Temple Street, tucked away in the D K Lane area off Bvk Iyengar Road. This part of the city is always buzzing with people looking for hardware and building materials. Our shop is quite packed with all sorts of pipe products. Space is a bit of a luxury here, so we have pipes stacked up high towards the ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We spend most of our time climbing up and down to pull out specific items for customers. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the orders are large. The street outside is narrow, so getting deliveries in is always a bit of a challenge. We have to time it just right so we don't block the whole road. There is a lot of shouting and horn honking outside, but inside we just focus on the list of items. We have been here long enough that we know the shortcuts and which tea stall has the best snacks. We don't really do much advertising; people just know we are here in D K Lane. Most of our regulars are plumbers who have been coming to us for years. They know exactly where we keep the fittings. We just sit at the wooden counter, write out the bills, and help load the goods onto the rickshaws. It's just a regular shop in a very busy neighborhood.
