Merino Travellers Bazaar

Merino Travellers Bazaar is right at 50 OPH Road in Shivaji Nagar. If you have ever been to this part of Bangalore, you know it is always loud and there is a lot of energy in the air. The street is constantly filled with people walking to the market or the bus stand. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We have bags and suitcases of all sizes stacked up right near the entrance so people can see them as they walk past. The space inside is quite long and narrow and it can get a bit dark towards the back. We have been here for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change quite a lot over the years. Most of the people who come in are preparing for a long journey or a move and they often tell us stories about where they are going. It is a bit dusty because of the construction that always seems to be happening nearby. We do not have a lot of help, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes we have to climb up a tall ladder to get a specific bag from the top shelf and that can be a bit tricky. We just try to keep things moving and help the people who stop by our door looking for something sturdy to carry their things in. It is a busy life on OPH Road.
