Mentor Tailors

Mentor Tailors has been operating out of Kundalahalli for a good while now. Our shop is down Telli Galli, at number 15 1A 14. It’s a small place, mostly taken up by the big cutting table and the sewing machines that hum all day long. There’s always thread on the floor and scraps of cloth tucked into corners. We don’t do much talking; the sound of the needles and the steam from the iron is usually enough. People bring in their trousers to be hemmed or shirts that don't fit right anymore. We just take the measurements and tell them when to come back. The street, Telli Galli, can get pretty crowded in the evenings, but inside it’s just the usual routine. We’ve got a few mirrors that are a bit dusty and some old hangers that we’ve used for years. It’s a simple business. We don’t have a website or anything fancy like that. Most people just find us by walking past in Kundalahalli or hearing about us from a neighbor. We make sure the stitches are tight and the buttons stay on. That’s what matters at the end of the day. The shop at 15 1A 14 is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not a grand showroom, just a place where work gets done with a pair of scissors, a needle, and some patience. We keep things moving slowly but surely.
