Mechelonic

We've been here in Electronics City for a while now. Mechelonic is basically just a group of us working out of this space, dealing with whatever comes across the desk each day. It’s usually pretty loud outside with all the traffic and people moving around the tech park. We spend most of our mornings getting the machines ready and checking on things that were left over from the day before. The office isn’t anything fancy, just some desks and a lot of wires. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit around and wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just how it goes here. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up more than we’d like. Most of us take our lunch breaks at the little stalls nearby because it’s quicker than bringing stuff from home. We know the security guards by name and the guy who brings the water bottles. It feels like a small community even though the city is huge. There are days when everything breaks at once and we’re here late, and other days where it’s quiet enough to actually finish a cup of coffee while it’s still hot. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it’s familiar. People know where to find us. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just show up, do the work, and head home to do it again tomorrow.
