Mechacronics

Mechacronics is located at 64 & 65 in the 3rd Phase of the Peenya Industrial Estate. Peenya is a massive area, and if you don’t know your way around, it’s easy to get turned around in all the different phases and blocks. We are right in the middle of the industrial action here in the Industrial Area. Every day is filled with the sound of heavy machinery, welding, and the constant movement of loaders. Our shed is pretty large since we need the room for all the mechanical and electronic bits we handle. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because of all the oil and metal shavings, but it’s a working shop. We wear our work clothes and don't worry too much about looking tidy for visitors. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually take our breaks and talk to the guys from the other nearby units. There’s a sense of community in Peenya among all the workers and owners. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, but we try to explain things in plain English to anyone who asks us. The power situation has improved over the years, but we still have our backup generators ready just in case something goes wrong. It’s a tough, loud environment, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. We just focus on getting the jobs finished on time so the next batch can come in for work.
