We are over at No.193, though the new number is 28, right on 12th Cross in the 3rd Block of Thyagarajnagar. It’s a busy spot in Bangalore-28 and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Most mornings start with us getting the machines warmed up and making sure the floors are mopped before the first person walks through the door. It isn't a fancy setup, just a regular place where people from the neighborhood come to grab something quick. The traffic on 12th Cross can get pretty loud, especially during the evening rush, but we’ve grown used to the constant honking and the hum of scooters outside. We have a small crew and most of us live close enough to walk or take a short bus ride. We aren't doing anything special here, just keeping the food moving and making sure the trash gets taken out on time. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up when it’s really hot, and we have to scramble to get it fixed, but that’s just how things go. Families stop by after school and we see a lot of the same kids growing up over the years. We just focus on the daily tasks, like checking the inventory and keeping the counters wiped down. It’s a lot of standing on your feet, but it’s a living. We like being a part of this little corner of Bangalore. It’s simple work and we just try to get through the day without too much trouble.
