Marwa Gift & Novelties

We run this gift and novelty shop out of our space on Bannerghatta Road. The address says Ludhiana and Samrala, but we are based here serving the local crowd in this area. It is a bit of a trek for some people to find, but those who live nearby know exactly where we are. We have a lot of different items, from small trinkets to larger gift sets for weddings or birthdays. The shop is usually full of stuff, and sometimes it's hard to find exactly what you want without asking us to help. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and pricing things by hand. It’s just a few of us working here. We aren't a big chain or anything. It started out small and stayed that way over the years. We see a lot of students and families who need something quick for a party. The shop doesn't have a modern look. It’s more of a traditional store where things are stacked up high on the shelves. We try to keep prices fair so people keep coming back. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles or a small torch, which makes the shop look very crowded. It’s a busy road outside, so there is always noise from the traffic. We don't mind it much. It means people are around. We just do our thing every day, opening the shutters in the morning and closing them once the sun goes down.
